Week 2
STRESS
A Physiological response in the body. This week we dive a little deeper?
Have you ever heard about the Central Nervous System?
There is so, so much more.
There are several body systems involved in the process.
This week I'm sharing a little bit about the CNS.
Central Nervous System Sympathetic and Parasympathetic
Our bodies respond to a threat by activating our Sympathetic Nervous System. What does this mean?
The body goes into fight, flight or freeze response.
Once the perceived threat has passed our body's revert back to the parasympathetic, under normal circumstances.
However when we are stressed we can continually be going into sympathetic. In turn this creates chronic stress and we lose the ability to effectively go into the ideal state of the parasympathetic.
In the case of chronic long term stress the unconscious mind goes into survival mode.
Calm
Reiki is very beneficial in bringing the Central Nervous System back into a state of calm.
Incorporating other healing tools as well can definitely support the body to heal and recover. Reiki is a very relaxing and gentle process.
I will be going deeper into all this in my upcoming Master Class.
The link to book in a Reiki Session with me is above.
Covering the basics will be continuing over the next few weeks. Consider subscribing so you never miss this informative weekly blog.
